Volunteer
As a patient-led, volunteer driven organization, volunteers are the beating heart of all we are and do. We are grateful for all those who share their care, time, experience, knowledge, and labour to support our mission.
From joining Committees, volunteering at events, signing and sharing advocacy initiatives, to purchasing and promoting products in support of ALS, every action contributes to our movement and goals of raising awareness, driving policy change, and fueling funds to fight ALS
You can read about upcoming events and ways to contribute through our e-news. If you’re interested in learning in more depth about volunteer opportunities, please contact us to connect with us on openings.
Support a Campaign,
Make a Difference
Our campaigns bring together communities, supporters, and volunteers to raise funds, awareness, and advocacy for people living with ALS. Each campaign has a unique approach – from community-led fundraisers, collaborative partnerships across North America, to Canadian coalition building, they all unite us through shared experiences and purpose.
Current Campaigns
Courage to Fight ALS
Courage to Fight was ignited by NHLer and ALS advocate Mark Kirton, and continues to honour his legacy by uniting those affected by ALS with NHL communities across North America through awareness and fundraising – including “Courage to Fight ALS” Nights that bring together teams, players, fans, and supporters.
A new partnership with Amsterdam Brewing Company focused on raising patient voices, increasing awareness, and engaging beer lovers and the broader Amsterdam community through year-round fundraising initiatives and meaningful activations.
Ales for ALS™
As a proud partner in ALS Therapy Development Institute’s Ales for ALS™ initiative, this campaign activates craft breweries, beer enthusiasts, and ALS supporters across North America in a turnkey fundraising initiative – brewing and sharing beer to raise funds for ALS research.
Canadian Collaboration to Cure ALS
ALS Action Canada is a partner in the Canadian Collaboration to Cure ALS, a national effort that brings together researchers, clinicians, ALS organizations, and people living with ALS to accelerate progress toward effective treatments and a cure.
