WAYS TO
DONATE
FUEL A LIFE
NOT LIMITED BY ALS
Every donation helps fuel a community-driven movement to accelerate treatments, increase advocacy and collaboration, and mobilize investment in ALS research.
There are many ways to make a financial contribution. Whether you choose to give today, bring others together to give, donate investments or other assets, or make ALS part of your legacy, your generosity can help create meaningful and measurable impact for people impacted by ALS and their families.
The ALS Super Fund, led by ALS Action Canada and powered by Charitable Impact, brings people, communities and organizations together to fund innovative work advancing care, treatments, trials and research toward ending ALS.

Create A
giving group
Bring people together to make an impact
Giving can be even more powerful when we do it together.
Through Charitable Impact, you can create a personalized fundraising page—called a Giving Group on its platform—in support of the ALS Super Fund. Invite family, friends, colleagues or your community to join you.
Create a Giving Group to:
- Honour the memory of someone whose life has been touched by ALS
- Celebrate someone special or mark an important milestone
- Rally your workplace, team or community around ending ALS
- Support a fundraising event or personal challenge
- Bring people together around a shared commitment to ending ALS
Your page gives you a personalized place to share your story, set a fundraising goal and invite others to contribute. Donations made through your page support the ALS Super Fund.
Donate
Securities
Turn your investments into impact
Donating publicly traded securities such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds can be a tax-effective way to make a meaningful contribution to the fight against ALS.
When eligible appreciated securities are donated directly rather than sold first and the proceeds donated, donors may benefit from additional tax savings while putting the full value of their investment to work.
Charitable Impact can facilitate donations of eligible securities. If you’re considering a gift of securities to support the ALS Super Fund, we’d be happy to discuss the process with you.

Give Through a
Donor-Advised fund
Put your charitable dollars to work
If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a gift to support the ALS Super Fund.
Charitable Impact also offers donor-advised funds through its Impact Accounts, allowing donors to set aside charitable dollars and decide when and where to direct their charitable giving.
If you already have charitable funds available through Charitable Impact, you can direct your support to the ALS Super Fund.
Have questions about making a gift through your donor-advised fund?
We’re happy to help.

LEAVE A Legacy
Create an impact for generations to come
A legacy gift is a meaningful way to extend your commitment to the ALS community and help create a future where no life is limited by ALS.
There are a number of ways charitable giving can be incorporated into financial and estate planning, including a gift through your will or estate, life insurance or other assets.
Every legacy is personal. If charitable giving is part of your financial or estate plans, we’d welcome the opportunity to talk with you about how a future gift could support the fight against ALS. We encourage you to discuss your wishes and individual circumstances with your financial, legal and tax advisors.

Donate Other Assets
Your gift doesn't have to be cash
There are other ways to turn assets into meaningful support for the ALS community.
Through Charitable Impact, donors may be able to contribute certain non-cash assets, including private company shares, life insurance, real estate and other eligible assets.
These types of gifts may require additional planning. If you’re considering a significant or non-cash contribution to the ALS Super Fund, we’d be happy to start a conversation about the options available.
If you have in-kind donations (for example, tickets to sports, concerts or other), we would be happy to discuss what might be possible in terms of giving and use.

Whether you have an idea in mind or would like to explore the possibilities, we would be pleased to build a partnership that draws on your organization’s strengths to raise awareness, mobilize support and help accelerate progress against ALS.
