ABOUT COURAGE TO Fight
The Courage to Fight ALS campaign brings together the ALS community, National Hockey League, and supporters across North America to raise awareness, amplify patient voices, and fund progress toward ending ALS.
The campaign was ignited by former NHL player, ALS Action Canada Board Director, and ALS Super Fund Co-Founder Mark Kirton. Through his transformational leadership, all 7 NHL Canadian teams joined the campaign, which expanded to all 32 teams and other champions. The Campaign has raised over $1.6M and established a new approach to collaboration across North America.
Mark passed away in 2025, but his legacy lives on.
From a benefit concert featuring Blue Rodeo, Darryl Sittler, Ron MacLean, to a Super Auction with NHL memorabilia and experiences, the Campaign now has a vision of holding Courage to Fight ALS Nights in every NHL arena in North America in partnership with ALS organizations in regional communities.
When it comes to ALS, Courage to Fight demonstrates that when it comes to ALS, we are all on the same team.
